A hardworking room, given proper attention.
The room.
Provisions, laundry and a place to put things down all had to share a narrow space. The aim was useful storage and a clear route through the room.
The furniture.
Parallel runs keep the centre open. A tall larder brings provisions together, laundry housings organise the other side and a compact surface gives the everyday jobs a place to land. Muted ochre and oak bring warmth to a practical room.
Useful behind the doors, too.
Shelves are set around the things they need to hold. The larder opens into the room without turning the remaining passage into an obstacle course.
